The TALON Yearbook is an award-winning publication that prides itself on telling the story of our school community in an accurate and engaging way through theme, design, photography, and written copy. It contains 6 different sections: student life, sports, academics, conservatory, organizations, and people, with the first three being the biggest sections. Each year, the yearbook aims to summarize the year into a theme that is prevalent through design, content, photography, illustrations, color palettes, and more. TALON is an award-winning publication with multiple NSPA Pacemakers, All-American Awards, and CSPA Crown titles.

Worked to interview sources, photograph events, and create basic designs for small page elements

Led design for pages within the sports and academics sections. Helped maintain organization and timeliness for pages within my section. Helped to report on pages outside of my section. Created illustrations, photographed events, and wrote feature copy.

Led, designed, and edited a 34-page section. This included managing the timeliness of reporters’ work, and editing all spreads as well as reporting on my own pages. This also included sports reference: 3 spreads detailing sports records, team members, and overall accomplishments. With social media, I managed and designed a posting schedule and promotional materials for distribution and other events.

Directed the creative vision for the 2023 book “It’s TIME”. Drafted the spread layouts for all 252 pages. Led day-to-day execution in meeting deadlines, organized team-building events, maintained relationships with suppliers, and promoted fundraising. Also actively contributed to photography, illustration, and design.
